The Podes farm project was born in 2020 from a simple and meaningful choice: not to abandon.

Not to abandon old family vineyards, cared for and passed down over time, located between Sant’Anna Arresi and Seui—two distant and very different places, connected by the same root: our family’s history.

First our grandparents, then our parents, worked this land with respect and dedication, leaving us a legacy made not only of vineyards, but of values. Today we carry this forward, continuing a path that is deeply rooted in the land of our ancestors.

The vineyards cover about three hectares, spread across contrasting and complementary environments: sea and mountains, the sound of the wind and the stillness of calm weather—Sant’Anna Arresi and Seui. Here we practice an agriculture based on natural balance: spontaneous cover crops, organic fertilisation, minimal mechanical intervention, and no use of herbicides or pesticides. Treatments are limited to sulphur, copper and clay.

Harvesting is done by hand, using small crates, with deliberately low yields—below 25 quintals per hectare—to preserve the quality and identity of the grapes. In the cellar, the same approach continues, based on simplicity and observation: manual destemming, spontaneous fermentations, pied de cuve, and minimal use of sulphites.

In Seui, inside a former family garage, our small winery takes shape: a simple space where the grapes are processed and the wines aged in stainless steel and used small wooden barrels, following an artisanal and respectful approach.

Podes is this: a return to the land, an act of continuity, a family story renewed through wine.
